TNTS Review: SDCC Exclsuive Hot Wheels Batmobile Tumbler and Bat-Pod

Reviews

Scotty Cash has a written review of the San Diego Comic Con exclusive Hot Wheels Batmobile and Bat-Pod 2-pack from Mattel! Click through to read!

Hey Batman and Hot Wheels fans! Have I got a treat for you! I kinda fell in to this review,  but I am super glad that I did! Let me tell you why...

Photobucket

Let's start from the beginning: the packaging. The box is different than any other box I have seen in a while. On most boxes you want to have plastic windows so you can see what you get. You know, like show it off as a selling point or show the buyer what they are getting. Nope not these guys. The box is like a ramp with out a bottom. It's kind of different. It has one window on the big part of the box, but you can barely see inside of the box and you really can't see the Batmobile cause it's behind the Bat-pod. The box also has two smaller windows on the top, but you can't really see inside of it cause the windows are so small. The only thing I can think of is that since this is a SDCC Exclusive and you're buying this then you probably already know everything about it and know what you're buying. But if this was sold in stores? Then you might pass on it simply because you don't know what's in there. On one side of the box it does have one picture of the Bat-pod and one of the Tumbler, but I don't want to see pictures. I want to see the actual goods!

Now opening the box, this gets better real quick because the inside pull out part that the vehicles are attached to is awesome. All around the inside of the pull out is a landscape of Gotham City. It's the same on both sides but I super thought it was cool! And in the packaging, the Batmobile is angled forward a little. Where the back of the Batmobile is there is a white cloud of smoke on the box like it's taking off. At the front of the Batmobile it looks like it just hit concrete and the concrete is breaking off and shooting up in the air! It's pretty sweet!

Now Bat-pod is just kind of sitting there strapped in by clear rubber bands. It's positioned by the big window in the box, so it doesn't get anything cool around it like the Batmobile. Kind of like on an air plane...when you sit by the window you don't get a kiddie size glass of juice and 2 things of crackers. You only get one juice and one thing of crackers. Sorry, I got side tracked.

Out of the package, the first thing I notice is the detail on these. They stayed very true to the movie, as they should have. The detail on both of these is great all the way around! The best thing about the Batmobile is looking inside the very tiny windows and seeing a seat with a stick shift on one side and controls on the other. To see this you have to angle it just right and really be looking for it. It's my favorite thing about the Batmobile because they didn't have to do it. They could have easily taken the easy way out and blacked out the windows, but they didnt! They went that extra mile for the buyers!

The Bat-pod is simler to the Batmobile in the sense that it is just AWESOME! There is nothing that sticks out at me on the Bat-pod except that the little Batman figure comes off of it. Kind of like the old colorful trick three wheelers that eveybody had. You know...the ones with the red body and the egg-white arms. Batman is actually really stiff on the Bat-pod, so he stays on the bike really good. But it's kind of the same thing. The size of the Batmobile may be slightly bigger than a normal Hot Wheels car, but not too much bigger. However, the pod is bigger than the Batmobile so it almost doesn't match very well

Now for articulation...Yep! The wheels roll!! NEXT!

No really though, I dont know what else to tell you guys except that if you like Batman or Hot Wheels then this set is for you! They look really good sitting on my desk at work. They aren't tot big, but big enough for people to see it, grab it, and roll it across your desk!

Most commonly these toys are being used by kids to play and enjoy. Being essay writing help provider these toys worth nothing for people of my age. But I have been using them in another way like toys with Camera are being used to monitor my team in my absence without letting them know about it.
